DAUNTLESS TRAVELS

Cookie Policy

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies, including browser storage, may also be used to remember preferences or support website functionality.

2. Who operates this website?

This website is operated by Sofia Cogni, trading as DAUNTLESS TRAVELS, based in Tavernes de la Valldigna, Valencia, Spain.

Email: dauntless.travelauthentic@gmail.com

3. Essential storage

We use browser storage to remember your cookie preferences. This helps us respect your choices when you return to the website.

This preference storage is used for consent management and does not require you to accept optional analytics or advertising cookies.

4. Website analytics

With your consent, DAUNTLESS TRAVELS uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google, to understand how visitors use our website — for example which pages and expeditions are viewed, in which language, and how visitors arrive — so that we can improve the website and its content.

Google Analytics is disabled unless you accept Analytics cookies. Until then, the Google Analytics tag is not loaded and no Analytics cookies are set. If you later withdraw your consent, measurement stops and the Analytics cookies accessible to our website are removed.

Google Analytics may collect information such as pages visited and their titles, the page you came from, browser, device and language characteristics, approximate location and online identifiers. According to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not log or store individual IP addresses. Google acts as our service provider and may process this information outside the European Economic Area.

Accepting Analytics cookies is separate from accepting Marketing cookies and does not give consent to advertising. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising: Google advertising features such as Google Signals and ad personalisation are not enabled, and the related consent signals (ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization) remain denied.

Website visits may also be measured through Meta Pixel for advertising purposes, but only after you have accepted Marketing cookies (see Section 5).

5. Marketing cookies and Meta Pixel

With your consent, DAUNTLESS TRAVELS uses Meta Pixel, a technology provided by Meta Platforms, to measure website activity and the effectiveness of our advertising.

Meta Pixel records events such as PageView when you visit a page, ViewContent when you view an expedition, and Lead when you successfully submit a contact or reservation enquiry.

Meta Pixel may collect information such as pages visited, browser and device characteristics, IP address and online identifiers. Meta may process this information outside the European Economic Area.

Meta Pixel is disabled unless you accept Marketing cookies. You can withdraw your consent at any time through Cookie settings.

6. Your cookie choices

When you first visit our website, you can accept or reject optional Analytics cookies and Marketing cookies separately, or customize your preferences using our cookie banner.

Necessary storage is always enabled to remember your privacy preferences. Analytics cookies and Marketing cookies remain disabled unless you explicitly consent to each.

You can change your preferences or withdraw consent at any time by clicking the Cookie settings button available on our website.

Withdrawing consent prevents further Google Analytics measurement (Analytics) or Meta Pixel tracking (Marketing) on our website and triggers the removal of the corresponding cookies accessible to our website. It does not reverse data processing that occurred before consent was withdrawn.

7. Cookie and storage details

DAUNTLESS TRAVELS uses browser local storage under the key "dauntless-cookie-consent" to remember your privacy preferences, together with the date of your choice. This information remains stored for up to 12 months, after which we will ask for your preferences again, unless you clear your browser data or change your choices sooner.

The newsletter sign-up form also stores two functional entries in local storage so that it is not shown repeatedly: "dauntless-newsletter-dismissed-at" (the time you closed the form, used to avoid showing it again for about 7 days) and "dauntless-newsletter-subscribed" (whether you have already subscribed). These entries stay on your device until you clear your browser data.

When you accept Analytics cookies, Google Analytics may use the following cookies:

  • _ga: Used by Google Analytics to distinguish visitors. Typical duration: up to 2 years.
  • _ga_1V1FYSJ2B5: Used by Google Analytics to keep session state. Typical duration: up to 2 years.

These cookies are optional and are associated with Analytics consent. Actual cookie use and duration may vary depending on your browser and Google's technology.

When you accept Marketing cookies, Meta Pixel may use the following cookies:

  • _fbp: Used by Meta to identify browsers and support advertising measurement. Typical duration: approximately 3 months.
  • _fbc: May be created when you arrive through a Meta advertisement containing a click identifier. Used for advertising attribution. Typical duration: approximately 3 months.

These cookies are optional and are associated with Marketing consent. Actual cookie use may vary depending on your browser, how you reached the website, and Meta's technology.

You can withdraw consent using Cookie settings. You can also delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings.
